In the Kurdgap area of Mastung, Balochistan, unknown assailants targeted a vehicle of Pakistani forces with an IED blast, killing three personnel, including a Major and injuring three others.
According to sources, at around 8:00 pm tonight, armed men attacked a vehicle in a convoy of Pakistani forces in Kurdgap with an explosive device. The blast killed Major Rizwan, Naik Amin and Lance Naik Younus, while three others. Sepoy Hassan, Sepoy Hamid and Lance Naik Fazal, sustained serious injuries.
The forces’ vehicle was completely destroyed in the explosion, and the death toll may ris.
It is noteworthy that in the past two weeks, several personnel, including four officers of Major rank, have been killed in Balochistan. Baloch pro-independence groups have claimed responsibility for such attacks in the past, but no group has claimed responsibility for this particular incident yet.
