Two residents of Panjgur, a husband and wife, were shot dead near Lakpass in the Mastung, while in a separate case, police in Usta Muhammad arrested a man for allegedly murdering his wife.
According to local sources, Shoaib, son of Ustad Anwar, and his wife both residents of Chitkan, Panjgur, were en route to Quetta for a medical appointment related to childbirth. While stopping at a private hotel along the way, unidentified gunmen opened fire on them, killing both on the spot. The motive behind the attack remains unknown.
In another incident, Usta Muhammad police arrested a suspect accused of killing his wife. Acting on the directions of SP Usta Muhammad and under the supervision of DSP Abdul Ghani Pathan, SHO Sikandar Ali Lehri led a raid that resulted in the arrest of Sher Dil, son of Hakeem Ali Lehri, a resident of Goth Haji Karam Ali Lehri.
According to police, the accused allegedly strangled his wife to death. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
