Quetta: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has announced a series of political and educational programs to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Baloch Raaji Muchi, which it described as not just a political gathering, but a milestone in Baloch national consciousness and unity.
According to a statement released by the BYC spokesperson, Raaji Muchi has evolved into a symbol of Baloch national heritage. “It united the Baloch nation under a collective identity and demonstrated that national unity and people’s power are the true sources of strength. The downfall of oppressive and violent state systems is only possible through these means,” the statement read.
The spokesperson recalled that thousands of Baloch people undertook long and difficult journeys to reach Gwadar and Talar, participating in the gathering as an expression of national solidarity. “It was a moment that reflected our highest levels of political awareness and resistance.”
He added that Raaji Muchi honored the sacrifices of unarmed martyrs whose blood inspired the collective resolve to reject any force that threatens national unity and survival. “It dismantled societal divisions and took national consciousness into every home and community.”
To further this awareness and philosophy of resistance, the BYC announced the following upcoming initiatives:
- Webinars focusing on Baloch national unity, current political conditions, and resistance history.
- Seminars titled “Baloch Raaji Muchi: National Unity and Philosophy of Resistance” will be held across Balochistan.
- Pamphlet distribution across the region to raise public awareness.
- Social media awareness campaigns highlighting the significance of Raaji Muchi.
- Grave visits and shroud-laying ceremonies on the graves of martyrs.
The committee has urged all its regional and zonal branches to immediately begin preparations for these events.
