In the Sorab, Balochistan, armed groups set up roadblocks at multiple locations last night, causing prolonged snap checking and disruptions. According to reports, the militants seized control of a customs checkpoint, confiscating weapons and other equipment present there.
Sources say that when Pakistani forces attempted to advance towards the roadblock locations, a firefight broke out, lasting for an extended period. Later, when a reinforcement convoy tried to reach the site, the militants ambushed it, launching a heavy attack. The clashes reportedly caused casualties and damage to the forces.
Additional information reveals that during the blockade, the armed men stopped several gas-carrying buzzer vehicles on the Quetta-Karachi highway, damaging and setting them on fire.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for these attacks. However, similar operations in the past have often been claimed by Baloch separatist organizations.
