Kalat, Balochistan: A vehicle belonging to Pakistani security forces was targeted in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in Kalat district on Monday morning, resulting in significant damage to the vehicle and reported casualties among the personnel.
According to local sources, the attack occurred around 8:00 AM in the Khuzini area of Kalat, where a convoy of two military vehicles was passing through. One of the vehicles was struck by the explosion, sustaining heavy damage. Unconfirmed reports suggest there may have been fatalities or injuries among the soldiers onboard.
So far, no official statement has been issued by authorities confirming the attack or any casualties.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident as of yet. However, it comes just days after the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for a deadly bombing in Kalat under its ongoing “Operation Bam,” which reportedly killed eight security personnel.
