The Baloch Women Forum (BWF) has strongly condemned the extra-judicial killing of 21-year-old Zeeshan Zaheer, calling it a brutal violation of human rights and a direct slap in the face of the country’s judicial system.
In a statement, the central spokesperson of BWF announced full support for the protest rally organized by Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Panjgur Zone, scheduled for Toady July 2 in Khudabadan, Panjgur.
The spokesperson expressed deep sorrow over the killing, stating that Zeeshan Zaheer was unlawfully detained from a local football ground in Panjgur on June 29, 2025, and his body was found dumped the next morning near CPEC Road in the city. According to BWF, the perpetrators of this “inhumane act” are members of local militias and death squads who, they allege, have been granted a free hand across Balochistan particularly in Panjgur to operate against the Baloch people without accountability.
Highlighting the personal toll on the family, the Forum noted that Zeeshan’s father, Zaheer Ahmed Baloch, was forcibly disappeared by law enforcement agencies on April 13, 2015. For the past decade, Zeeshan and his family have been demanding justice and the safe return of his father. The Forum added, “Tragically, the state subjected Zeeshan to the same pain his father endured, ultimately silencing him through death.”
The Baloch Women Forum – Panjgur Zone has demanded accountability from the district administration and law enforcement agencies, urging them to answer for Zeeshan’s killing. The group called on citizens from all walks of life in Panjgur to join the upcoming protest rally as a collective stand against ongoing human rights violations.
The protest rally is scheduled to begin at 5:30 PM on July 2, starting from Mawak Bazar, Khudabadan (Panjgur).
