On Thursday night, unidentified armed assailants launched an attack on the main camp of Pakistani forces in the Kalat Balochistan. The assault triggered loud explosions and intense gunfire, which were heard throughout the area.
According to local sources, several explosions were followed by heavy gunfire and additional blasts, creating panic in the vicinity.
So far, officials have not issued any statement regarding the incident. There has been no confirmation or denial of casualties.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack as of now, but in the past, such operations in Balochistan have often been claimed by pro-independence armed groups.
