Jeeyand Baloch, spokesperson for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), issued a statement to the media, claiming responsibility for a remote-controlled IED attack on the occupying Pakistani forces in the Jiwani area of Gwadar, as well as the execution of two detained collaborators, Sami Sarparah and Nizam Kurd, in Nushki and Kalat, respectively, following confessions of guilt.
According to the spokesperson, BLA fighters today targeted Pakistani soldiers in Jiwani using a remote-controlled explosive device. The targeted personnel had set up a checkpoint where they were allegedly extorting money from passing vehicles. The blast reportedly killed one soldier, identified as Allah Dad, on the spot and seriously injured another.
The statement added that following the explosion, the panicked occupying forces opened indiscriminate fire, injuring several civilians and continuing their aggression by forcibly disappearing multiple individuals.
The BLA further claimed that on June 13, Sami Sarparah, son of Fateh Muhammad Sarparah, a resident of Noshki, was taken into custody from the Gargina area after being positively identified. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to being recruited by ISI through Akhtar Badini and had been working as an informant for the Pakistani military and intelligence since 2014.
Sami Sarparah reportedly admitted involvement in the enforced disappearance of Aamir Jamaldini, whose mutilated body was later dumped. He also confessed to facilitating raids, humiliation of women and elders and the abduction of youths in and around Noshki. He played a role in forcing Yasir Jamaldini to surrender and later to collaborate with intelligence agencies.
According to the BLA, Sarparah was also involved in recruiting other individuals as informants and members of death squads, and revealed names of several collaborators working with the occupying forces.
The Baloch National Court, after considering the charges of national betrayal and other crimes, sentenced Sami Sarparah to death. The sentence was carried out on June 23 in Lijeh.
The BLA spokesperson also said that in a similar operation, Nizam Kurd, son of Takari Nooruddin and resident of Khali, was detained from the Isplinji Maro area of Mastung. During questioning, he allegedly admitted to serving as an informant for the occupying army for the past five years. He confessed to transporting sex workers to military camps in Isplinji, Kolpur and Quetta on the orders of the military, where he was also subjected to sexual abuse in return for payment.
Nizam Kurd reportedly acknowledged participating in military operations in Gokurt, Machh, and Mastung, and on several occasions, accompanied the forces as far as Gwadar.
Finally, the spokesperson stated that after his confession, the Baloch National Court also sentenced Nizam Kurd to death, a sentence that was executed by BLA fighters the previous day.
