U.S. Airstrikes Target Iranian Nuclear Facilities

The United States has carried out large-scale airstrikes against Iran, targeting its nuclear facilities. U.S. President Donald Trump described the strikes as “successful and necessary.”

According to international media, the airstrikes targeted nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Sources in the U.S. Department of Defense stated that the strikes were aimed at halting Iran’s nuclear program and were conducted in response to missile attacks on Israel.

Iranian officials reported that the targeted facilities had already been evacuated, resulting in no casualties and no harm to nuclear material. Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks as “aggression and a threat to global peace,” warning of a strong response.

Iranian media claimed that, shortly after the strikes, Iran launched retaliatory missile attacks on certain Israeli installations, with reports of some injuries.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres expressed deep concern over the situation, urging all parties to exercise restraint and pursue diplomatic solutions. The European Union and Russia also voiced disapproval of the U.S. action.

In Washington, President Trump’s decision sparked political division. Democrats called the strikes unconstitutional, arguing they were carried out without Congressional approval, while Republicans praised the action as a defense of national security.

Analysts warn that these strikes could further destabilize the Middle East. The world is now watching closely for Iran’s potential response and the international community’s diplomatic efforts to defuse tensions.
