
Balochistan : At least seven people were killed and several others injured in a series of shooting incidents reported from different districts of Balochistan, including Kech, Quetta, Khuzdar, and Dera Murad Jamali.
In the Zamuran area of Kech district, a family dispute turned deadly when a man opened fire on his cousins. Hamza, son of Muhammad, was killed on the spot, while his brother, Abu Bakar, sustained serious injuries. According to local sources, a relative named Hamal was responsible for the shooting. Turbat police confirmed the incident and said the injured victim was shifted to the Teaching Hospital for treatment.
In Quetta’s Serki Road, a man identified as Adnan allegedly murdered two of his adopted brothers over a property dispute. Police revealed that the murders occurred around six months ago, and the bodies were buried within the house premises. Adnan then reportedly rented out the property. The incident came to light after a tip-off from his ex-wife. The suspect has been arrested, and police have sealed the house as investigations continue. The deceased were reportedly adopted by the parents of the accused.
Another shooting incident occurred outside the Sessions Court in the Sariab Road Quetta. Police reported that a man was shot dead by his nephew in a property-related dispute. One other person was injured in the attack.
In Dera Murad Jamali’s Qaidi Shakh area, two young men from the Hajwani Jamali tribe Shabbir Ahmed and Riaz Ahmed were killed when armed assailants ambushed their vehicle and opened fire indiscriminately. The attackers fled the scene. The bodies were transferred to the Teaching Hospital and handed over to their families after legal formalities. A case has been registered.
In Khuzdar, two unidentified bodies were recovered from the Baghbana area and shifted to the Civil Hospital. Police have begun investigations, though the motive behind the killings remains unknown.
Authorities in all regions have launched inquiries into the incidents.
