Quetta/Barkahan: According to sources, the bodies of four young men martyred in a clash with Pakistani forces and affiliated death squads on June 6 in the mountainous Koh-e-Jandar region of Rakhni, Barkahan district, have yet to be handed over to their families.
Relatives of the deceased have reportedly been in Quetta for the past three days, awaiting the release of the bodies. Despite the Deputy Commissioner of Quetta having issued formal approval and all legal procedures being completed by the families, the bodies remain in the mortuary of Civil Hospital Quetta.
The deceased fighters have been identified as:
- Mustafa Noor, son of Noor Jan, resident of Tasp, Panjgur
- Samiullah, son of Noor Mohammad, resident of Malai Bazaar, Turbat
- Rasan Qadir, son of Qadir Bakhsh, resident of Labach Dansar, Awaran
- Shahzaib, son of Amir Bakhsh, resident of Guni, Greshek
The delay in releasing the bodies has caused distress among the families, who are demanding immediate handover for burial rites.
