Harnai, Balochistan: One of the four individuals killed in an alleged fake encounter in Harnai has been identified as Saeed Marri, a previously enforcedly disappeared person. Saeed had already lost both of his sons, who were also reportedly killed in similar staged encounters by Pakistani forces.
According to sources, Saeed Marri and his two young sons were abducted by Pakistani security forces some time ago. His elder son, Abdul Nabi Marri, was found dead on April 18 in Duki, with authorities claiming he was killed during an operation. Later, his younger son, Waris Marri, was discovered dead on May 1 in Sanjawi, again with official claims of his death occurring during a security operation.
Today, four bodies were recovered from Tor Khan along Sanjawi Road in Harnai. One of them was identified as Saeed Marri. Sources allege that all four victims had previously been forcibly disappeared and were likely executed while in custody, with the incident falsely presented as an armed encounter.
Balochistan has witnessed a troubling rise in such incidents in recent months, where multiple members of the same family are first disappeared and later found dead, with authorities framing the killings as the result of armed clashes.
