Quetta : The protest camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), established against enforced disappearances in Balochistan, entered its 5,850th day today. The camp continues in front of the Quetta Press Club under the leadership of VBMP Executive Committee member Niaz Nechari.

In a press release, VBMP urged that the case of forcibly disappeared scholar Abdul Ghani Baloch be formally submitted to the government-appointed Commission on Enforced Disappearances and the Balochistan provincial government.

The organization expressed hope that both the commission and the provincial authorities will fulfill their constitutional responsibilities by ensuring justice under the law and providing relief to Ghani Baloch’s family, who continue to suffer prolonged anguish.

VBMP also announced a peaceful protest scheduled for 3:00 PM on Eid day in front of the Quetta Press Club. Niaz Nechari appealed to political parties, student organizations, and the citizens of Quetta to join the protest and raise their voices for the families of the disappeared.
