Central leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan and Senator Hafiz Hamdullah has strongly condemned the abduction of Assistant Commissioner of Tump (Kech), Muhammad Hanif Noorzai, calling it a direct challenge to the writ of the state.
In a statement, Senator Hamdullah expressed concern over the incident, stating that the kidnapping of a senior government official in broad daylight, along with his family, during travel is alarming. He emphasized that such acts not only create a sense of insecurity among the public but also raise serious questions about the overall law and order situation in Balochistan.
He urged the government to take immediate notice of the incident and ensure the safe recovery of the abducted official. Expressing solidarity with the family of Assistant Commissioner Noorzai, the Senator assured them of his full support at every level.
It is worth mentioning that on June 4, 2025, Muhammad Hanif Noorzai was taken into custody by fighters of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) in the Sarenkan area, along with his family, security guards, and driver. The BLF later released his family members, guards, and driver safely and respectfully.
According to the BLF spokesperson, the operation was conducted based on intelligence provided by the organization’s secret wing, and the official has been handed over to the BLF’s investigative team for further inquiry. The group stated that a formal decision will be announced after the completion of the investigation.
