Awaran, Balochistan : Sartaj Hameed Chanal, President of the National Party Jhao chapter, was injured in an armed attack in the Waja Bagh area of Jhao, Awaran.
According to local sources, unknown assailants opened fire on Sartaj Hameed Chanal and his companion Mureed Malazai. Sartaj sustained gunshot wounds to his hand and leg, while Mureed Malazai escaped the attack unharmed.
Chanal was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed that he is out of danger.
The reason for the attack is yet to be determined, and no group has claimed responsibility as of now.
