
Quetta – At least one person was killed and four others injured in a bomb explosion in Quetta on Sunday night. The incident occurred at the last stop of Brewery Road near the Western Bypass.
According to SHO Mahmood Khuroti of Brewery Police Station, the explosion targeted a Honda Civic car. One of the occupants died on the spot, while the second was injured. Additionally, three pedestrians sustained injuries in the blast.
A police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the explosion was caused by a magnetic bomb attached to the driver’s side of the vehicle. The deceased was identified as Babul Muhammad Hassani, son of Malik Zabar Muhammad Hassani, a resident of Kalat. The injured passenger was named Nabeel, who was accompanying him in the car.
This is the second bombing incident in Quetta within 24 hours. A day earlier, a bomb blast in the Killi Mangla area of Hanna claimed two lives and injured seven others.
No group has claimed responsibility for either of the attacks so far.
