WASHUK, BALOCHISTAN: A significant buildup of Pakistani military forces has been reported in the Sakin area of Washuk district, raising fresh concerns of a potential military operation.
According to local sources, a military camp had previously been established in the area but was later abandoned. However, the sudden reappearance of troops has sparked fear among residents that another wave of military aggression could be imminent.
Sources also revealed that during the previous military presence in the region, local civilians were subjected to enforced disappearances and torture. The renewed military activity has therefore caused widespread fear and anxiety in the community.
So far, no arrests or casualties have been reported.
In related developments, reports of military aggression have also emerged from the Balochistan regions of Buleda and Parom. Sources confirm that Pakistani forces have launched an operation in the mountainous areas of Parom, while a large contingent of troops has moved into the hilly terrain of Buleda.
The affected mountain range lies between Kech and Panjgur districts. Local residents have confirmed the ground movement of military personnel in these areas.
