
Quetta / Kech / Gwadar – Pakistani security forces have forcibly disappeared at least five individuals during separate operations carried out across the Balochistan districts of Kech, Gwadar, and Quetta in recent days.
In Turbat, the main city of Kech district, security personnel raided the residence of Nasir Baloch, the Central Finance Secretary of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), and detained his nephew, Adnan son of Liaqat. Adnan was reportedly taken to an undisclosed location following the raid.
According to sources, the forces conducted a full search of the house during the operation and subjected women and children to physical abuse. The family has demanded the immediate release of Adnan Baloch.
In Pasni, Shaukat son of Rehmat and Gohar Bakhsh son of Allah Dad both barbers working at the same shop were forcibly disappeared on May 24, 2025, at different times of the day. Sources say Shaukat was taken in the morning while at work, and Gohar Bakhsh was detained by security forces during the evening from the same location. Both were shifted to an unknown location.
Another resident of Pasni’s Ward No. 3, 20-year-old Abdul Salam son of Karim Bakhsh, was reportedly abducted by Pakistani forces the same evening. He was taken while heading to the Fish Harbor Jetty for a fishing trip.
His mother has appealed for his release, stating, “My son is an innocent, hardworking fisherman. He has no involvement in any illegal activities.” She urged authorities for his safe and swift recovery.
In Quetta, Umair Baloch was abducted on the night of May 21 from his residence in the Sariab area. Family members confirm that he was taken by Pakistani security forces and has not been heard from since.
