Kalat, Balochistan – A group of unidentified armed individuals attacked a police checkpost in Kalat district late Friday night, seizing weapons and other equipment.
According to local sources, the assailants, reportedly in large numbers, overran the checkpost located on Shopping Road in Kalat city around 11:30 PM. They took control of the area briefly and confiscated firearms and supplies from the site.
Fortunately, no police personnel were reported injured in the incident.
It is worth noting that similar attacks on Pakistani military, police, and Levies posts have been carried out in the past by Baloch armed groups. However, no organization has yet claimed responsibility for this latest assault.
