Khuzdar, Balochistan – A 17-year-old girl named Afsana has reportedly been abducted from the Karkh Khuzdar, and more than 48 hours have passed without her recovery. Despite the serious nature of the case, no legal action has yet been taken against Khan Muhammad Qalandrani, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Karkh, who has been accused of involvement in the abduction.
According to the girl’s father, Qadir Bakhsh, he has repeatedly informed the police about the incident, but has received only verbal assurances with no concrete action taken. He alleges that the SHO himself is directly involved in the abduction of his daughter.
Qadir Bakhsh has appealed to higher authorities to take immediate notice of the case. He has also called upon human rights organizations, political figures, and social activists to raise their voices in support of his family so that his daughter can be safely recovered and justice can be served.
“This incident is not just a tragedy for one family, but a wake-up call for society at large,” he said. “If those responsible for enforcing the law are themselves accused of such grave crimes and face no consequences, public trust in the justice system is deeply undermined.”
He demanded an impartial, transparent, and urgent investigation into the matter. “If SHO Khan Muhammad Qalandrani or any other individual is found guilty, swift legal action must be taken. The safe recovery of the victim and the delivery of justice to the affected family is the state’s foremost responsibility,” he added.
