Quetta – May 13, 2025: In a dramatic development at the Balochistan High Court, Advocate Sajid Tareen, the lawyer representing Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Beebow Baloch, Gulzadi Baloch, Shah Ji Baloch, and Beberg Baloch, walked out of the courtroom after expressing a lack of confidence in the bench and levelling serious allegations against two sitting judges.
The bail hearing was being conducted by a bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ejaz Swati and Justice Amir Rana. During the proceedings, Advocate Sajid Tareen accused the judges of siding with the government and the state, claiming that “both judges have already made up their minds about the verdict.”
He demanded that the case be transferred to another bench, stating he had “no faith in the current bench.” He added, “I can no longer be part of this drama, where justice is being compromised in favor of the government.”
When the judges reportedly warned him of contempt of court, Tareen replied bluntly, “Go ahead, be quick about it.”
He further argued that his clients had initially been detained under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (3-MPO), but now the government was presenting fabricated FIRs against them. “If this court cannot deliver justice, then there’s no point in being here,” he added.
Sajid Tareen went on to claim that both judges were preparing their CVs for future promotions and that the bench had already compromised its impartiality. Before walking out, he declared that the matter would now be brought before the people of Balochistan.
Prominent lawyer Agha Hassan Baloch was also present during the court proceedings.
