The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistani intelligence operative in Gwadar. In a statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch said that on May 9, their fighters targeted Arif, son of Abdul Rasheed Rajput, in a shooting. The victim was originally from Toba Tek Singh district in Punjab.
According to the BLA, Arif had been working in Gwadar under the guise of employment but was in fact serving as an informant for Pakistani intelligence agencies.
The spokesperson also issued a warning to local residents, urging them to remain cautious, avoid any association with such individuals, and refrain from renting out shops or houses to them.
