A young man was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants on a motorcycle near the Mughalzai area along the national highway in Kalat.
According to police sources, the incident took place on the Quetta-Karachi highway. The victim, identified as 24-year-old Muhammad Ramzan, son of Muhammad Arif and a resident of Kuing, Kalat, died on the spot as a result of the firing.
His body was immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital Kalat, where it was handed over to the family after necessary procedures.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
