Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has warned that any military action against India will be met with a strong and decisive response.
Jaishankar made these remarks during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who arrived in India earlier today for an official visit.
Referring to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, Jaishankar stated that on May 7, India carried out a cross-border strike targeting what he described as terrorist hideouts.
“We do not wish to escalate tensions, but if any military action is taken against us, there is no doubt we will respond with utmost severity,” said Jaishankar.
He further told his Iranian counterpart, “As a neighbor and close partner, it is important that you fully understand the gravity of the situation.”
