Turbat: Sit-In Ends After Assurance of Recovery of Forcibly Disappeared Persons

Turbat: A sit-in held by the families of forcibly disappeared individuals in the central city of district Kech ended following successful negotiations between the local administration and the protesters.

According to regional sources, following instructions from the Deputy Commissioner of Kech, Assistant Commissioner of Turbat, Muhammad Jan, and ADC Kech, Tabish Ali along with police officers, reached the site of the sit-in at Jedgal Dan (D Baloch Point) and held talks with the relatives of the missing Noman Bashir and others, as well as social activist Comrade Waseem Safar and other sit-in organizers. The administration convinced them to postpone the sit-in.

The administration assured the protesters that within a week, positive progress would be made regarding the enforcedly disappeared individuals and their well-being, with a potential recovery. After the successful negotiations, the organizers ended the sit-in, and the protesters dispersed peacefully.
