US Vice President JD Vance has stated that the ongoing war in Ukraine is “not likely to end any time soon.” He made the remarks during an interview with Fox News.
According to Vance, the key challenge for the United States now is to help Russia and Ukraine find “common ground” to bring an end to the brutal conflict that has been raging for over three years.
He emphasized that the resolution to the war ultimately depends on both nations reaching a mutual agreement, saying, “It’s going to be up to Russia and Ukraine to come to an agreement and stop this brutal, brutal conflict.”
His statement comes shortly after Washington signed a new deal with Kyiv, under which the US will receive a share of profits from Ukraine’s rare earth minerals in exchange for providing future security assistance.
