In Khuzdar Kanak area, Dur Khatoon held a press conference revealing that her 16-year-old daughter, Nusrat Bibi, was abducted by six armed men who forcibly entered their home.
According to Dur Khatoon, the incident occurred at night when the armed men stormed into their house and abducted Nusrat Bibi. During the incident, the women present in the house were also subjected to violence.
She stated that although one of the suspects named in the abduction case has been arrested, the police are treating him like a guest at the station. No serious investigation is being carried out, nor are genuine efforts being made to recover her daughter.
Dur Khatoon added that 20 days have passed since the abduction, but there has been no progress. She warned that if the police fail to recover Nusrat Bibi soon, she will be forced to stage a sit-in on the National Highway while holding the Holy Quran.
Accusing the police of protecting the perpetrators, she appealed to higher authorities to take immediate notice of the situation.
It is worth noting that Khuzdar has witnessed similar incidents in the past. Previously, Baloch woman Asma Jattak was abducted by state-backed death squads supported by the Pakistani military. Following strong protests and road blockades by her family and the public, Asma Jattak was eventually recovered.
