Quetta: The protest camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), established to demand the recovery of forcibly disappeared individuals and justice for victims of extrajudicial killings, has entered its 5,890th day today.
On Friday, political and social activists from Kalat, including Ilahi Bakhsh Mengal, Muhammad Azim Jatak, and others, visited the camp to express solidarity with the families of the missing persons.
During their visit, the delegations voiced serious concern over the continuous rise in enforced disappearances in Balochistan. They stated that these abductions have severely disrupted the region’s social and political environment, and lasting peace would remain elusive until this practice is halted.
On the occasion, Mama Qadeer Baloch addressed the visiting delegations, shedding light on the overall situation in Balochistan. He strongly criticized the Balochistan government, accusing it of presenting narratives contrary to ground realities, and asserted that human rights violations have become a norm in the province.
