We followed every legal and constitutional path, but at every turn, we found not justice, only humiliation. Nadia Baloch.

Nadia Baloch, sister of Baloch Yakjehti Committee leader Dr. Mahrang Baloch, has condemned the extension of her sister’s detention under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO), calling it an act of injustice against peaceful citizens.

“Today, her illegal detention was extended by another 30 days,” Nadia stated. “What kind of justice is this where peaceful citizens are imprisoned without charges, while real criminals walk free? What kind of constitution punishes truth-tellers and protects the oppressors?”

She described the past month as excruciating and filled with agony, marked by continuous efforts to seek justice. “We knocked on every legal and constitutional door available to us. But at every step, we were met not with justice, but with humiliation. The courts disappointed us, the justice system turned us away, and government offices treated us with apathy and mockery, reminding us daily that we are not citizens, but enemies.”

Nadia Baloch added that even peaceful protests were met with repression. “Our homes were raided, our family members were harassed and arrested. The state not only tried to silence our voices but also launched a media campaign to discredit us, portraying peaceful protestors as threats and militants. That was a lie then, and it’s still a lie now. We were peaceful then, and we are peaceful today.”

“This isn’t just a fight for fundamental rights, it’s a deeply personal wound,” she said, her voice heavy with emotion. “As someone who already lost her father, I know the pain of an empty space in the heart. Now, my sister, my light, my strength, my teacher in compassion and patience is behind bars. I am enduring this pain with the dignity she taught me. But not everyone has the strength to bear such suffering.”

She concluded with a defiant message: “We are not criminals. We are peaceful people standing for our right to live with dignity. You can imprison us as much as you want but we will not be silent.”
