CHAGAI, BALOCHISTAN: Armed men took custody of two commercial vehicles on a main highway in Balochistan’s Chagai district on Saturday morning, a day after a truck carrying rations for Pakistani security forces was seized on the same road, according to local reports.
The two vehicles were stopped in the Chehtar area while heading toward Taftan, reports said. No details were given about the vehicles’ cargo, their drivers, or whether anyone was harmed.
On the previous day, armed men on the same highway, between Dalbandin and Yakmach, reportedly took a vehicle carrying rations for Pakistani forces, along with its load. According to the information received, the supplies were headed to the forces’ camp in Nokkundi.
No group has claimed responsibility for either incident so far.
Baloch armed groups are active in the area, according to local reports, and have repeatedly targeted security forces and heavy trucks involved in mineral transport in Balochistan.
