Quetta Balochistan: The families of political leaders detained by Pakistani forces have established a protest camp in front of the Shal Press Club, demanding the immediate release of their loved ones and raising their voices against what they call unlawful and unconstitutional arrests.
The protest is being held in response to the arrest of Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Sibghatullah Shah Jee, Bibgar Baloch, Beebow Baloch, Gulzadi Baloch and other leaders and activists associated with the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).
Protesters stated that the detention of political workers through extrajudicial means constitutes a grave violation of human rights. They emphasized that the goal of the protest camp is to resist state repression and call for the immediate and unconditional release of the detained individuals.
The families have appealed to all segments of Quetta’s society, including political and social activists, human rights defenders, and concerned citizens to join the protest and stand in solidarity with the affected families.
