When Pakistan Cannot Silence the Voices of Resistance, It Targets the Families. Dr. Naseem Baloch

Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), Dr. Naseem Baloch, has condemned the abduction and disappearance of Dr. Sabiha’s father, calling it a reflection of Pakistan’s policy of collective punishment in Balochistan.

In a strong statement on social media, Dr. Naseem Baloch said, “When Pakistan cannot silence the voices of resistance, it targets the families.” He asserted that this tactic is deliberately used to suppress dissent and instill fear in the Baloch population.

Dr. Naseem Baloch described the abduction as part of a broader pattern of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, where thousands of men, women and even children have been abducted and disappeared over the years. “This inhumane practice is meant to break the spirit of an entire people”.

He further added that such actions reflect how the state operates in Balochistan by inflicting pain on families in an attempt to deter others from speaking out.

Human rights organizations and Baloch political leaders have consistently raised alarms about the increasing cases of enforced disappearances, calling for international attention and accountability.
