Balochistan Liberation Front’s Spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said in a statement that “On November 19, while traveling on an organizational mission in the Gishkor area of Kolwah, the enemy forces, who had set an ambush, attacked them. As a result, two key and long-standing comrades of the organization were martyred. Martyred fighter Captain Niaz Qadir, known as Ustad Guman, was martyred on the spot, while Lieutenant Zarif Baloch, known as Shay Jan, was severely injured.

The comrades involved in the mission gave a strong counterattack to the enemy forces, and during the fighting, they successfully carried the martyr Captain Niaz Qadir, his injured comrade Shay Jan, and their war gear.

Captain Niaz Qadir, son of Qadir Bakhsh, a resident of Gudop Paho, joined the freedom movement in 2013 and became an official member of the BLF in 2014. Throughout his long struggle, Captain Niaz Qadir’s entire family faced severe hardships due to collective punishment. However, he never abandoned his stance on national freedom. His elder brother, martyred Lieutenant Sabir Baloch Alias Taheer, and his cousin, Captain Zahoor Bali, along with their organizational comrades, Second Lieutenant Sajid Sameer and Akbar Hammal, were martyred in 2022 during an aerial attack by enemy forces. His parents were repeatedly subjected to enforced disappearances by Pakistani forces. They are currently living as internally displaced persons (IDPs). Captain Niaz Qadir played an important role in the political, military, and intelligence sectors of the organization over time and succeeded in sabotaging several crucial enemy programs. He was a central figure in battles in various areas of Balochistan, including Awaran, Jhao, Kolwah, Ormara, Keelkor, and Balgatar, where he carried out deadly attacks on the enemy.

Captain Niaz Qadir held an important position at the organizational level in Kolwah and Awaran within the BRAS. Due to his combat skills and proficiency with modern technology, he was known as a mentor among his comrades. He worked tirelessly and with immense love to prepare the comrades in the Martyrdom Unit, focusing on their military and physical fitness.

Lieutenant Zarif Baloch Alias Shay Jan, son of Hammal Baloch, a resident of Gishkor Sundom, joined the freedom struggle in 2013 and became an official member of the BLF in 2014. During this long struggle, he bravely resisted the enemy forces’ brutal oppression and violence.

Despite the violent state actions against his family, his thoughts and actions remained unshaken. On November 19, during an organizational mission, he was severely injured in a skirmish with enemy forces. His comrades managed to evacuate him to a safe location, where a medical team associated with the organization worked tirelessly for his recovery using all available limited resources. Unfortunately, they were unable to save him. Over the ten years of his involvement in the freedom struggle, Lieutenant Zarif Baloch played a significant role in several unforgettable military battles. He worked diligently and with great effort in the economic sector of the organization, earning the trust of the Regional Command Council. Due to his military and political maturity, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He gave priority to the organization’s programs and remained steadfast until his last breath. His leadership and dedication to the struggle for freedom will always be remembered.

The Balochistan Liberation Front pays tribute to these comrades, Captain Niaz Qadir Alias Ustad Guman, and Lieutenant Zarif Baloch Alias Shay Jan, along with all the martyrs who have laid down their lives in the Baloch national struggle.

Maj. Gwahram Baloch expressed his commitment to continuing the political and military programs of the Baloch Liberation Front with greater intensity in honor of their timeless sacrifices.
