Gwadar – A Huge National Gathering proves that Baloch will not compromise on their rights. Dr. Mahrang Baloch

Thousands of people participated in the ‘Baloch Raji Muchi” in Balochistan’s coastal city of Gwadar despite the state crackdown. A declaration called for the recoveries of the missing Baloch political activists, the end of military operations and the cessation of exploitation projects.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee says that if their demands will not be accepted, the scope of the protest will be extended to other parts of the country. On the occasion of the Baloch National Gathering, curfew has been imposed in Gwadar city and adjacent areas and the city has been completely surrounded by security forces from all sides.

Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Organizer of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, and other leaders have already reached Gwadar to participate in the Baloch National Gathering. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mahrang Baloch said that the government has come up with new tactics to sabotage the Baloch movement. She added, “Protest is our constitutional right. We are lake of justice and will continue to get our rights.”

German media Deutsche Welle reported that Dr. Mahrang Baloch said that people have become victims of insecurity due to serious violations of human rights in Balochistan. “This huge gathering in Gwadar today has proved that Baloch will never compromise on their rights.” She further said that the government tried to thwart the Baloch national gathering in Gwadar on the pretext of security concerns, which could not be successful.

According to Mahrang Baloch , “The Baloch national movement is being suppressed by force. Now is the time for the state to come to its senses and put an end to oppression and brutality in Balochistan. “

The speakers said that by ignoring the real leadership in Balochistan, contracts are being made with foreign companies against the public interest, on which they will not remain silent. The speakers added, “Baloch political activists who raised their voices for rights are being arrested and disappeared, but the victims are not getting any justice.”

Thousands of other people also wanted to participate in the national gathering in the form of caravans in Gwadar but were forcibly stopped by the forces on various highways. Today, all main highways across Balochistan remain closed due to protests.
