QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Armed Attacks on Pakistani Forces Reported in Kalat, Kech and Noshki
Armed attacks on Pakistani forces have been reported from three areas of Balochistan, including a multi-pronged assault in Kalat district’s Mangochar and an ambush on a convoy in Noshki, according to reports.
In Mangochar, attackers reportedly targeted the main camp of the Pakistani army and several military posts at the same time. Heavy weapons were used and residents heard intense firing and explosions in the area. Later reports claimed that drones were also used and that several positions of the forces were hit in drone attacks. Casualties have been expressed, but authorities have not confirmed any.
In Minaz, in the Buleda area of Kech district, Pakistani forces were also attacked and reports of losses have emerged. No details were given.
In Noshki, armed men ambushed a convoy of Pakistani forces at Gulangur at around 2:30pm on Thursday, November 5, according to reports. Sources said several personnel were killed or wounded, including a sniper.
Attacks of this nature in these areas are usually carried out by Baloch militant groups, but no organisation has claimed responsibility for any of the attacks so far.
