QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), an armed separatist group, claimed responsibility on Friday for attacks on a Pakistani security forces convoy at two locations in Balochistan’s Kachhi district, saying six soldiers were killed.
In a statement, the group said its fighters ambushed the convoy in the evening near Dhadar. It said six personnel were killed at the scene, several others were wounded and military vehicles were disabled.
The group also said it would continue such attacks until what it called the “complete independence” of Balochistan.
The statement was issued by Dostain Baloch, who is identified as the group’s spokesperson.
