QUETTA, BALOCHSITAN: Armed men launched a series of coordinated attacks on Pakistani security checkpoints, police posts and trade routes across multiple districts of Balochistan
The attacks struck Kharan, Kech, Mastung, Panjgur, and Kalat districts within a short span of time, targeting military convoys, checkpoints, police posts, and key infrastructure.
According to a Zrumbesh source, in Gwash, along the Kharan–Yakmuch CPEC link road, a convoy of Pakistani Forces comprising more than 15 vehicles and two buses came under heavy fire from armed assailants.
In Kech district’s Tump area, armed men attacked a military checkpoint in Rodban using both light and heavy weapons. there are reports of loss of Pakistani forces.
In a separate incident in Kech’s Zamran area, unidentified armed men targeted a checkpoint manned by Pakistani security forces. Sources indicated that personnel suffered losses, though the full extent of casualties remains unconfirmed.
In Mastung’s Kanak area, armed men opened fire on a police post, killing one police official and injuring another, according to sources.
In Panjgur, armed men enforced a blockade on the Chaidgi trade route for over two hours, disrupting movement and commercial activity in the area.
In Kalat, a bridge located roughly three kilometers before the toll plaza was destroyed in an explosion overnight. Reports indicate that a passenger coach, identified as Al-Mahmood, was involved in an accident as a result.
In a further incident in Kalat’s Marjan area, a Pakistani military convoy was first struck by an explosion and then ambushed by armed attackers, resulting in reported casualties among security personnel.
No group has claimed responsibility for any of the attacks so far.
