
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: BNM to Protest at UN Headquarters Over Balochistan Human Rights Violations
According to the BNM, on the eve of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Baloch National Movement (BNM) will hold a protest in New York to raise its voice against the ongoing genocide, systematic repression, enforced disappearances and grave human rights violations perpetrated by the Pakistani state against the Baloch nation.
The protest will highlight:
- Indiscriminate military bombardment of civilian populations
- Enforced disappearances of thousands of Baloch
- Illegal detention and persecution of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leaders, women and human rights activists
- Collective punishment and systematic repression of the Baloch nation
- Targeting and persecution of women and children
- Environmental destruction through mining projects and exploitation of Balochistan’s natural resources
- Destruction of homes and forced displacement of entire communities
