QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN; The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on Coast Guard installations and a military patrol team in Buleda, Pasni and Karachi, according to a statement from BLF spokesperson Major Gwaharam Baloch.
According to the statement, on July 23, 2026, BLF fighters ambushed a two-motorcycle patrol team of what the group referred to as the “occupying army” in the Bazpesh area of Buleida. The attack resulted in the death of one personnel on the spot, while another was seriously injured.
The statement said that on the night of July 21, 2026, BLF fighters attacked a Coast Guard checkpoint near Hamdard University, located between Karachi and Hub Chowki, with a hand grenade, killing one Coast Guard personnel on the spot.
In a separate attack, the statement said BLF fighters targeted the main Coast Guard camp in Pasni, which also houses a radar system at around 10 p.m. on the night of July 17, firing multiple rounds from grenade launchers. According to the statement, all rounds struck their intended targets, causing what the group described as severe losses in personnel and material. The statement claimed that later that night, while military personnel and technicians were assessing the damage to the radar system, BLF fighters carried out a second attack on the camp using grenade launchers, causing further damage to Coast Guard personnel and the radar installation.
The BLF claimed responsibility for all three attacks in Buleda, Karachi and Pasni in the statement issued by Major Gwaharam Baloch, spokesperson for the group.
