QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Central Leader Dr. Sabiha Baloch has condemned the enforced disappearance of BSO Chairman Jiand Baloch, sharing her statement on the social media platform X.
In her statement, Dr. Sabiha Baloch said that every enforced disappearance leaves a family trapped between hope and despair. She said Jiand Baloch has been forcibly disappeared for the third time and that his loved ones continue to wait without any information about his fate or whereabouts. She said this policy has become a means of silencing peaceful voices through fear while subjecting entire families to prolonged psychological suffering.
Dr. Sabiha Baloch said the disappearance of children as young as 11 and elderly people over the age of 80 shows that this practice does not distinguish between age or vulnerability. She said this reflects a pattern of collective punishment affecting entire communities and raises serious concerns under international human rights law.
She said the world must no longer ignore these violations, adding that justice, accountability, and the safe recovery of all forcibly disappeared persons are urgently needed.
