ISLAMABAD: Human rights activist and lawyer Imaan Zainab Mazari has completed 180 days in detention, marking her 33rd birthday in jail alongside her husband and fellow lawyer, Hadi Ali Chattha.
Legal proceedings against the couple continue in a case related to a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
To mark the occasion, former federal minister Shireen Mazari, along with lawyers, journalists, and other supporters, cut a cake outside the Supreme Court in Islamabad in celebration of Imaan Mazari’s birthday.
Participants paid tribute to her legal work on human rights cases, particularly those related to enforced disappearances.
