
MASHKAY, BALOCHISTAN: A continuous curfew imposed in the Mashkay area of Balochistan has entered its sixth day, severely disrupting the daily lives of local residents who have been confined to their homes and stripped of basic freedom of movement.
According to local sources, the prolonged lockdown has brought normal life to a complete halt across the area. Residents report being unable to carry out routine activities, while the atmosphere of fear and uncertainty continues to deepen with each passing day.
Sources furhter siad that, the curfew coincided with the Eid celebrations, during which residents were not permitted to go out and purchase sacrificial animals. The restriction on one of the most significant religious and social occasions of the year has caused widespread grief and frustration among local families, highlighting the extent to which both daily and religious life has been disrupted.
The closure of schools has halted the education of students throughout the area. Reports from local sources indicate that patients visiting hospitals and their accompanying family members are facing repeated harassment at the hands of security forces, leaving the sick to endure both physical suffering and psychological distress simultaneously.
Access to basic services including healthcare and education has been severely restricted throughout the duration of the curfew.

BYC Condemns Curfew, Appeals to Human Rights Organizations
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has strongly condemned the ongoing curfew in Mashkay, describing it as part of a deliberate state policy to paralyze public life. The committee has appealed to national and international human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the situation, raise their voices for the protection of the basic human rights of the affected population, and play an effective role against such measures.
