BALOCHISTAN: Two separate attacks struck Kharan and Noshki districts on Friday as unidentified armed men targeted mineral-carrying vehicles in Kharan while seizing and burning an Death Squad leader’s hideout in Noshki.
In the first incident, armed men set fire to two mineral-carrying trucks in the Urmage, Shay Usman Pat area of Kharan district. Security forces arrived at the scene following the attack and launched an investigation, though the assailants managed to flee. No casualties were reported.
In a separate incident in Noshki’s Killi Jamaldini area, armed men seized control of a compound described as the hideout of Death Squad leader Cyrus Jamaldini, taking possession of weapons and other equipment before setting the compound ablaze. No casualties were reported in this incident either.
No group has claimed responsibility for either attack. Similar incidents targeting mineral-carrying vehicles and paramilitary-linked compounds in Balochistan have previously been claimed by Baloch separatist armed groups.
