QUETTA: The protest camp organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) in front of Quetta Press Club continued for the 6,131st consecutive day on Saturday. The camp was held under the leadership of Niaz Muhammad, a member of the organization’s executive committee.
VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch stated that the organization has been receiving continuous reports of bullet-riddled bodies of previously enforced disappeared Baloch being recovered from various areas of Balochistan, describing the situation as highly alarming and condemnable.
He said that extrajudicial killings of enforced disappeared persons and dumping their bodies in deserted areas not only violate national laws but are also strictly prohibited under Islamic teachings.
Nasrullah Baloch urged the government and relevant authorities to take serious notice of this grave situation and take immediate practical steps to end enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. He called for the safe recovery of all missing persons and demanded that those accused be presented in courts to face legal proceedings.
He emphasized that all state institutions must carry out their actions within the framework of the Constitution and law to restore peace and public trust in Balochistan.
