QUETTA: Tensions escalated in Balochistan’s Washuk and Kharan as armed Baloch groups launched attacks against Pakistani security forces, local sources reported.

In Washuk, a bomb attack targeted Pakistani security personnel, with early reports indicating casualties. However, officials have yet to confirm the number or extent of injuries sustained in the incident.

Simultaneously, in the Noroz Kalat area of Kharan, armed Baloch fighters set up multiple snap-check posts, stopping and inspecting vehicles. Clashes broke out between Baloch fighters and members of the Balochistan Constabulary during the vehicle inspections. Initial reports indicate that at least two personnel from the Balochistan Constabulary were wounded in the confrontations.
