
Panjgur: An attack on a Pakistani military convoy is reportedly ongoing in the Paskoli area between Khudabadan and Tasp
According to lo local sources, that a convoy of more than fourteen vehicles of the Pakistani military has come under attack, with reports suggesting the possibility of significant casualties. Prior to this, the convoy was also targeted near the Football Chowk area.
Local sources further report that several areas in Panjgur, including Tasp, Khudabadan, Garmkan and Washbud, are under the control of Baloch groups. Continuous firing has been reported from multiple locations, where clashes are ongoing.
According to local sources, heavy gunfire is being directed at locations believed to be associated with state-backed “death squads.” In Khudabadan, clashes are reportedly continuing and there are reports of casualties among members of death squads as well as security personnel who were en route to provide assistance.
It is further reported that in Garmkan, the base of a death squad commander identified as Shahdok was completely destroyed in an explosion. Similarly, the location associated with another death squad figure, Kaleemullah, has reportedly come under the control of Baloch groups, and the site was set on fire.
Sources also indicate that checkpoints and blockades have been established across several major routes in Panjgur, including areas such as Tasp, Khudabadan, and Garmkan, while multiple locations remain under the control of Baloch groups.
Clashes and security-related developments are said to be ongoing in the region, with intermittent firing heard in various areas.
It is noteworthy that in the previous month alone, more than 25 individuals were reportedly forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces and affiliated death squads operating in Balochistan. These individuals were taken from their homes in front of their family members across various areas of Panjgur, and their bodies were later recovered from different locations in the district. Political parties, human rights organizations, and local citizens have strongly criticized these actions.
