Dera Ghazi Khan: The family of Hakim Majeed Baloch, who was forcibly disappeared more than four months ago, has appealed for his immediate and safe recovery.

In a press statement, Humaira Majeed Baloch, the sister of the disappeared youth, said that her 22-year-old brother was taken away during a late-night raid by security personnel and has not been seen since.

According to the statement, on the night of November 2, 2025, at around 3:30 a.m., personnel reportedly belonging to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) along with other security officials in plain clothes broke into their house in Model Town, Dera Ghazi Khan. She said the officials entered the house forcibly and took her brother Hakim Majeed Baloch with them without presenting any warrant or formal charges.

Humaira said that her brother is an educated young man who had recently been working in the United Arab Emirates at his father’s shop to earn a lawful livelihood. She added that he had no involvement in any illegal activities.

According to the family, an officer present during the raid had assured them that Hakim was being taken only for brief questioning and would be released within half an hour. However, the family says more than four months have passed and they have received no information regarding his whereabouts.

Following the incident, the family said they attempted to pursue legal action and submitted an application to register an FIR at Civil Lines Police Station in Dera Ghazi Khan, but they claim that the complaint has not been registered so far.

The family further stated that they have repeatedly approached relevant authorities and institutions for help, but their appeals have not produced any results. They also said that they were warned to remain silent and not raise the issue publicly or pursue legal action.

Humaira Majeed Baloch appealed to government authorities, human rights organizations, journalists, and civil society members to raise their voices for the safe recovery of her brother.

She said that keeping a person forcibly disappeared without presenting him before a court is not only unjust but also a serious violation of fundamental human rights. The family urged authorities to ensure the immediate and safe release of Hakim Majeed Baloch and called on the public in Dera Ghazi Khan to raise their voices against the injustice.
