QUETTA: The banned militant outfit Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on Pakistani security forces in Pasni, Kharan and Dasht, as well as the seizure of military supplies in Zamuran.

In a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group said its fighters attacked a Pakistani Army checkpost in the Dokhani area of Kulanch, Pasni, on February 24. According to the statement, the attack was carried out from two sides using heavy weapons at close range, resulting in the deaths of five military personnel and injuries to others.

The group further stated that on the same day, its fighters launched grenade attacks using grenade launchers on a security forces checkpost located on Gazzi Road in Kharan city. The BLF claimed the attack caused both casualties and material losses.

In another incident on February 25, the BLF said it targeted a Pakistani Army checkpost on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) road in the Singai area of Dasht. The group said that multiple rockets were fired at the post, claiming that the projectiles hit their intended targets and caused further casualties and damage.

Additionally, the BLF claimed that its fighters intercepted a vehicle carrying supplies for security forces between the Niwano and Gesherdan areas of Zamuran on the same day. According to the statement, rations and other essential equipment in the vehicle were seized.

The BLF stated that it accepts responsibility for the attacks in Kulanch, Kharan, and Dasht, as well as the seizure of supplies in Zamuran. Authorities have not yet issued an official response to the claims.
