
Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in Jhao, Pasni and Washuk, stating that four military personnel were killed and several others wounded.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group said its fighters attacked a Pakistani army checkpost in the Dokhi area of Kulanch, Pasni, on February 19 using heavy weapons. The BLF claimed the attack resulted in casualties and material losses.
The group further stated that on February 18, its fighters ambushed a military convoy in the Zirkhani area of Jhao. According to the statement, two soldiers were killed in the initial assault, while additional troops deployed to reinforce the convoy were targeted by snipers, resulting in two more fatalities. The BLF claimed a total of four military personnel were killed in the attack and that the convoy later withdrew from the area.
Separately, the group said its members carried out a three-hour road blockade on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) highway in the Patk area of Washuk, Rakhshan, on February 18. The BLF stated that vehicles were searched during the blockade and that the operation aimed to monitor the movement of security forces in the region.
