Quetta: Family Demands Recovery of Shoaib Pirkani, Forcibly Disappeared a Month Ago

Quetta: The family of Shoaib Ahmed Pirkani, a student and resident of Hazar Ganji, Quetta, has called for his immediate recovery, stating that he was forcibly disappeared nearly a month ago.

According to family members, Shoaib Ahmed Pirkani, son of Haji Pir Agha, was taken into custody by personnel believed to be from Military Intelligence (MI) who were dressed in plain clothes. The incident reportedly occurred on January 7, 2026, at around 9 PM near Hazar Ganji Chowrangi in Quetta.

The family stated that Shoaib was detained along with his father. However, his father was later released, while Shoaib Pirkani has not yet been produced or presented before any court.

Relatives have appealed to political parties, student organizations, human rights groups, and civil society to raise their voices for Shoaib Pirkani’s safe recovery.
